now this was my first try ...

I realized I had forgot to put my sentiment on it ...

So I had to add the Happy Birthday 

now it thought it looked bare below the birthday so I added the

wooden butterfly

yes I know the birdies are not wooden ...

but I wanted to try a different version ...

what do you think..

Sorry I always forget to put in what I used ...

not sure where I get the wooden piece of paper  ...

the wood elements are all Recollection

the littler birds in the cages...is a dollar store item ..

I know my picture does not show it the best ...

but it was need to try 

paper used was some glossy paper my daughter gave me

the inks were Recollections $1.50 ones

the stamp I used was Stampin Up

so here is my try at both challenges...

Recollection brown paper..

the background butterflies are embossing fold

from Craft Concepts -Butterfly Kisses

I just wipe the butterflies with a bit of white to bring them out more..

the twine and button from my stash of stuff..

so I thought why not give it a try...

so here is my try ...

I used a clear piece of plastic to make the square

then pop it up and then I cut the flower that match the one below

then pop the flower on the plastic...and cut two little flowers

and did the same to them ...
