Challenge #114

 Well I got a card made  for the

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #114

so here is my try at Sparkle, Shimmer  or Shine

 hard to see my sparkle and shine .....so here is a closer look

see I did get some sparkle

and the snowman were from Stampin Up called Flaky Friends

 I fussy cut them out then water colored or used my TomBow pens to add color to them

the 2 back trees are from Taylor Expression die cut and then layered

I added sparkle for the snow

Well has many of you know our granddaughter graduated this June

this was here last project from here wood shop ...she was a TA

for grade 10 classes (TA means Teachers Assisted)

Her woodworking teacher wants her to carry on in wood classes

so she has and probably will be enrolling at TRU for classes on that and other interested.

We are so proud of her.

2 Challenges

        OK what started out has to do a challenge got me doing two other cards with their idea...
                       the challenge I had first chosen was Tuesday Morning Sketches

then I saw the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

 

and thought maybe just maybe I could combine the 2 challenges

I loved the layout that Tuesday Morning had ..I must say It was a bit of a challenge

doing the Pink, White and  Silver

but here is my try at putting the 2 challenges together



just to show the card a bit open ...front paper is front Echo Park

the pink back is just a foil I had that it would give me that pink look.

Now this challenge from Tuesday Sketch got me to thinking and

well here are a couple of the cards I made up



took me a while to get the golfer and the card shape together then I cut it out

with my Cameo

just added a few items to get that golf course feel ...

then this card the little girls on the card are a Micheal Recollection item

the paper flowers scraps I really wanted the feel of a vine of flowers growing on a lattice



the paper I found was not really lattice but it gave me the look any ways

Debossing Stamped Images

so here is my card

below shows which items on my card are just debossed

another look just show how the butterfly and Friend

are raised on the card and the rest of the card face is flat

the three flowers are also lift on the first of the card to.

I know it is not how she show to do the card ...but I really don't have a lot of matching

stamps and embossing stuff.

I cut the cupcake shape from Bo Bunny and then cut another to give it lift.

Well I have to get back to the craft table I have a challenge card I must get done today

so here is my card

made it for our granddaughter to give to Papa for Father's day

Helicopter --Silhouette Cutout

I cut out a couple of clouds to set the helicopter on

Happy Papa Day done on the Silhouette also and so was the little flag.

Well off to finish my grad cards.

Here is up I came up with

Saturday was Melissa Grad March

so here are her and Papa

she looked so beautiful her commencement is this coming Friday

and the teachers have said they will not strike that day ...

thank you so much teachers..

this next picture is me and my daughters and Melissa my granddaughter

wow that is two generations

this here is Melissa , and two are her very best friends ..

way to go girls you DID IT...

now here are Melissa and  Marcus



The event started at 1:00 and it was a hot day  all the kids from grad were cooking  after pictures which ended about 3:30 they then had to stand in a line outside for about 90 mins to do the march down TRU steps which was three floors high  ...then around the outer circle to the middle of circle yes this is all done outside so no break from the sun or heat. Once in the circle they then would have their dance with the  parent.

She did her first dance with Papa ..then second with Marcus .

the parents had to leave by 7:00 where then the dinner and dance was for the grads only

We had 240 students grad from our school alone. And with dates and teachers they figured about 600.

We are so proud of you Melissa

and love you so very much.
