so here is my take on both of the challenges

the stamp used for the house was Winter Lingers by Stamps Happen

I used only the house part of the stamp.

then tried to paint with my watercolor paints.

this picture here I was trying to show how I made the snow shine to give the card and white some depth if that is what you want to call it .

Paper used was Bo Bunny

the sentiment I believe just a dollars special .

(was not to sure how the cards would work out)

the second card I used Fast Fabulous by Stampin Up

A Saturday of Fun

Well here it is a Saturday a nice sunshine day to do a challenge or two

                      I was able to connect with SIL Barb and she was doing this neat challenge

Less Is More --Jingle all the Way!

For this we would like to see some reference to any of these things.... bells, reindeer, Santa, elves, stockings, presents, decorations, Christmas songs/music/instruments...

                                                  in fact anything Christmassy!.... and also

I had been looking at The Friday Mashup

                                                                  this week's challenge is:

• Create a project using "a Metal Embellishment (Staple, Brad, Grommet etc.)". 


• Create a project using "Weather as your Inspiration" think Storms, Winter, Clouds, Rain, Sun, Warm Sandy Beaches. 


• or Mash it Up! and create a "Weather inspired project with a Metal Embellishment".

                       so I joined in with Barb and combined the two challenges.

                                    could see the wintery storm and the trees in the background...

wow...can you believe it I actually got the challenge up on the Monday
who would of thought ...

Create a card with ornaments in silver/grey & blue...

and I think I got it right this time ...

the ornaments really do sparkle ...

(need to learn how to get these sparkles to shine when I take pictures)

the ornaments are made from sparkle sheets from the Dollar Store

the ornament is a Memory Box die called Hanging Ornaments.

Ok yesterday I got a bit of time and also did the same challenge has my SIL Barb

Thinking of You was the theme and anything goes for the card layout.

So here my take on the card and theme ...

I layered the flowers and fussy cut out another butterfly to

 highlight the one on the paper I used

I don't use sequins that much almost never ...

but I have seen my SIL's use them and how much it adds to a card

so I gave it a try on this card...what do you think?

I tried cutting out the stamp so I could show off more of the

spider webs ...(think I should of done what Nina did for the stamp)

I have had these Neon Winter Flamingo's forever

so this challenge was perfect for them ...

I popped up the flamingo on white from the green

the paper used was Brazzill neon green

took me forever to found the paper

and the butterflies you see on the card

are cut out of paint chips 

now on our journey of having fun

Barb picked up this awesome envelope maker

and this is the one she made to go with my card 

she matched the color perfect

we bought the accessories to go with it...

Good Morning to all ...been a while since I have been here.

Well the lemons are starting to turn yellow..

well yes I made another spinner card ...

this is for a friend

who has encouraged Bare

and stood with Bare.. teaching...and showing

how much these helicopters can do..

if you tilt the card from side to side the little heli does fly and do tricks.

                Was chatting to my SIL Barb last night she was working some cards and gave me the idea to look around and create a card to so here it is

It is what they call a spinner card the little van you see spins from side to side

in the that curve slot you can see.

Friends are moving and I wanted to create a card for them

I flocked the clouds with white and the trees with green

I printed the layout of house on to the card then did another copy

so I could colorand raise the houses.

this is Marlene and Bob in their van with some boxes and heading to their new home.

Again van is from a coloring page and I colored.

 

We have had a chance to visit the grandkids up north

one of my grand daughters likes to make cards ..

so when I got home I put together a box of stuff for card making and sent it up.

 

Here is her first 2 cards with some of the stuff...
