Ok another challenge ...

I was looking around for a new challenge ...

so this is the challenge I sent out to my SIL's

ok this pic was me not waiting for thing to dry...so it was

fingerprints and smudges all over the place.

ok waited for the Fixative to dry this time

I wanted to try one more stamp

Drift Flowers by Memory box

paper  used  Recollection by Micheal's

the verse Autumn Flower stamp by Stampendous..

Make the candle product the soot to make these cards

\was kind of neat ...I did burn a few sheets of glossy paper.

Fixative is what you spray on the soot stamping ...

Wow does time fly...sorry it has been so long...

Bare and I have been in the midst of renos ....ugh renos...

But they are starting to come to an end ...

just one more side on the outside to be done ...

then a rest then winter projects can start when the snow flies ..

 

Here is one spot that got me excited ..

today is a special day

for Bare and I

Happy Anniversary to my hubby....

it was a time of family and friends

thanks to all who shared in our day...

 

Now I know it has been a while since I did a card

my aunt and uncle and cousin from Alberta came for a visit ..

my uncle has been diagnose with the dementia.. so sad.

My aunt is so upset so I made her this card ..

they have been married for over 59 years

the card is a neverending card  

 

she loved it 

this is the last turn then you go back to the front of the card.

this technigue is so neat...

my first attempt ...the insides of the flower..

Stamp used ..was Stampin Up Friends Flower

now this card below my second attempt



this is using Taylor Impressions stamp

Discover Your Wings

it is hard to tell but the butterfly is done in a sparkle

hope this show it better..

I bleached out the wings and a bit of the edge..

I then added a bit of color to the inside of the wings with the blue ..

I do know I will try it again...

this hat my son in law gave me ..

his sister and husband have a home in Australia

you wear this hat to keep the flies off you

 the little cork things swing and keep the flies away

a neighbour asked if I could make her

a boy card ...

this was the inside of the card ...

the paper used  was Micheal's Recollection

and odds and ends of little buttons and stuff

the stamp used a gift so I am not sure who makes it

now for the very first time ...I just could not a found a stamp like they used in the video

I had this smaller flower so I gave it a try ...it is from Stampin Up

I used Stampin Up White

then over top Memento Rhubarb ...Desert Sand....Potter's Clay

top the flowers up with a pearl in the middle and a few down the sides.

Used an Ek punch around the card ...

sentiment is from Hero stamp.

 

This flower below is from our garden ...

Ok here we go another challenge

I realized I had forgot to put my sentiment on it ...

So I had to add the Happy Birthday 

now it thought it looked bare below the birthday so I added the

wooden butterfly

yes I know the birdies are not wooden ...

but I wanted to try a different version ...

not sure where I get the wooden piece of paper  ...

the wood elements are all Recollection

the littler birds in the cages...is a dollar store item ..

then I had been checking out some over challenges and spotted this one

Our challenge theme this week is "Make Your Own Background"  Let's see those creative framings for your gorgeous images!  

 

so here is my try at both challenges...

Paper used for the four squares  SEI - Chocolat

Recollection brown paper..

the background butterflies are embossing fold

from Craft Concepts -Butterfly Kisses

I just wipe the butterflies with a bit of white to bring them out more..

the twine and button from my stash of stuff..

Been a while since I did a Friday Mashup ...

so I thought why not give it a try...

so here is the challenge

so here is my try ...

I used a clear piece of plastic to make the square

then pop it up and then I cut the flower that match the one below

then pop the flower on the plastic...and cut two little flowers

and did the same to them ...

Ok Nina put up another challenge for us ladies....

Cuttlebug Embossing with wax paper...

so here are my attempts and ladies

let me tell you this was a challenge ...

I had to borrow wax paper from neighbour

that's right ..bought some from the dollar store ...really no wax to speak of

Bare the went to Safeway for me and got some ...it was microwavable...

then I talked to my neighbour ...who said come see me if you can't found the good stuff.

So over I went ...she gave me a few ideas...

and a piece of really wax paper ...so here are my tries

I must say the dark ink looked good..

you can see where the wax  marks are and how nice it showed up..

had to give some other embossing folders I had

a try

black

then in

blue

and this like the first two ...but done in red ...

I have to say the red was my first try at the challenge

just did not seem able to put it into a card

but I will try ...with the others I made to create something...

all paper used was Recollections card stock
