I drove up to Edith Lake on Friday .....hoping to see

open water..but no way...

about 2 feet of shore line thawed out..

oh well Barry says it will be soon...

can't wait to be fishing and camping.

and Abi is in her glory too....this their first week
of swimming lessons.

My husband is doing the bathroom upstairs ...so I took the old

toilet to the garden for a planter....

We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse.
For my grandchildren, I'd like better.
I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade
ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.
I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by
being cheated.
I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car.
And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen.
It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog
put to sleep.
I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in.
I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister. And it's
all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room, but when he
wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let
him.
When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along
I hope you'll let him/her.
I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in
a town where you can do it safely.
On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your driver to
drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as
your Mom.

I thought about how much kids of today have missed out and how many of them are hurting for old fashion LOVE......

We left on Saturday morning and head into Chilliwack for their big RV show ..sure some beautiful RV units out there. Of course it rained the whole time we were there..but we did have fun...Melissa picked out a really nice Motor home ...only $199,000 and boy it was awesome. Sorry did not get any pictures..did bring a camera ..but left it in the truck.
On Sunday morning heading back we were able to go through where the big slide had happen ...boy the water coming off the hills and rocks were beautiful...if you click on the picture you can see some of the big trees that got knocked down...boy what a mess....
Nicola Lake is thawed and alive with lots of birds ....it was beautiful.

Well we brought the baby home yesterday

from Barriere...thanks so much DJ for watching over our fifth wheel .....now we will get it ready for some great camping and fishing ...

CAN'T WAIT !!!!!

I am so sorry this blog page is late..I so wanted it to be up yesterday for Abi and Hannah to see... cause yesterday was their first Dentist visit.




Abi and Hannah were so good ....Dr. Chris Wilson had no problem with either of them and the girls teeth are doing great. He told Patty she was doing an awesome job with their brushing and teaching them some good stuff...on keeping them brushing...way to go Patty ....you are doing a great job

On Saturday Abi had a party ...a start to her birthday...the kids went bowling

it was fun...the adults also bowled...great fun was had by all.

Abigail turns 3 on March 12.

Yesterday afternoon we all decided to head to DJ's

that is where our fifth wheel spend the winter.

Well DJ got the fire going ..and we all got out the wiener sticks

and had some fun....they still have snow..has you can see

the kids had fun ...and of course Abi and Hannah did

found the mud holes with water in them.

Kids will be kids ..they had fun.

Our little Abi adopted DJ's Mom as a new Grama Ivy..and off they were

exploring..and grama Ivy taking Abi for some homemade cookies

to share with all the kids...

It was a nice evening with some great people for soon the yard filled with

other families to join in on the wiener roast and fire.

It was also nice to have some time in our fifth wheel ..can't wait

for our first camping meet ..with everyone.

It was Bruce's birthday March 3rd....

Well the words in the picture should say it all...yes ...I started to put GAS into our new truck which is a DIESEL

Yesterday was the day I learned how pray and helping hands are there for us.

I want to Thank a fellow who with out his help ..I would still be there crying...

for the time he gave me and the phone numbers to get my truck back. If ever you put gas into a diesel truck ...

DON'T START THAT TRUCK(the cost to fix is WOW)

this fellow told me not to and to get the truck towed and have some one qualified to do it .

And I followed his advice...by the pictures you can see my baby being carried away.

The company who did the job got the truck in right away for me ..it is funny today it was to have it's oil and tran fluids done .. so they started the job at the same time so this morning I had a truck clean and gas free....and My HUSBAND ..show nothing but love and understanding ..thanks Barry XOXOXO
