Welcome to Stampin' Sisters in Christ, where our challenges are inspired by scripture.

My SIL Barb knew before me ...she was so excited for me ....thanks for the call ...her and I have been doing this challenge together

Scripture: Matthew 6:25-34 ".... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?...."

Challenge:  Make a card/project that features a bird, such as in the patterned paper, a stamped image, a charm, etc. 

So here is my try at it ....now this is a stamp I just got form Nina ...and I hope I am doing you proud girl...

yes I did the coloring ...trying to get better at it ...could use lessons ...hint hint hint.

Well good evening to all ....I wanted to share ...on the weekend we watched this Christmas show called Cancelling Christmas....first time I have ever seen this one. This show was different in the message it was trying to share ...ususally it has Santa listening to want kids want....but in this show ...Santa was asking them what they could give... now most of them said I don't have any money ...and this Santa said ....it does not take money to give ....it comes from the heart. One little girl he said ....you could give to your mom  help with dishes ....just helping her ... he was trying to show them giving comes from the heart ...not from the almighty dollar. If we can give from the heart ...forgiveness....love ...understanding...all the money in the world will really not make you happy. You don't give because you have to ...because that is who and where your heart is ...sometimes in trying to give the very best of your self you screw up ...but you hope that those that say they love you and I do mean love you from the heart ....will understand ...and still will give from the heart. I know every year I am asked what I want for Christmas ...and every year I really can't answer in things or material things..what I want the most is health for all ...for the love of family and friends. To be just accepted . Things that can not be bought...they are given from the heart.

Challenge:  Make a card of praise using music, stamp, or design paper, or just the word "praise."

so...my layout is the Mojo and the words are for SIC

Now this card is me playing....I have always wanted this stamp...forever

My SIL Nina...helped me found it and look what I made a card...

HSS Bargello Technique Challenge #93

This week we are asking you to get creative with strips of designer or pattern paper to bring to life this BARGELLO technique that is widely used by needle crafters. You simply use strips of paper to make an amazing background for your project or card. You can see a more detailed tutorial about this technique HERE.

So I gave it a try ..it is kind of neat ...

The Friday Mashup...

Challenge #115 - I Thessalonians 5:18

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
Challenge:  Create a card or project that depicts gratitude...it can be an image of something you are grateful for, a scripture that evokes your gratitude, or it can be a card made especially for a person you would like to thank this time of year!

so here is my card ..it is girly and sparkly...

and it is giving thanks to a special lady....

Sisters in Christ        Challenge #114 – Genesis 3:6

Challenge:  Dig in your stash and use one of your oldest stamp sets, one that hasn't seen any use for a long while.

Now this is a Micheal's $1.50 bin special....when you are just starting out

you try to get sayings ...this is one I grabbed...so long ago.

The Popcorn Bear Stamp is new ...and my first time trying to color him...

So here is my attempt with my Tombow's and blend pen.

Barb and I thought it would be neat to do another challenge together this week ...

Mojo Monday

 Well I made it ...it is Monday and here I am putting up my Mojo card...I was lucky enough to be able to chat to Barb and work on my card with her ...thanks SIL

so here it is ....

the background  paper is Little Yellow Bicycle's Wonder & Wishes.

The other papers used are scraps...and the holly are Recollection .

Now I know I am late getting up my Friday Mashup ...

but we were away ...so here is what the challenge was about ...

2. Or Make a "Thank You (Greatful)" project.  
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Thank You project with Heat Embossing".

Ok I know it is hard to see but I did emboss the snowman and the words Thank you

I also want to thank Friday Mashup a card I had last  Friday got picked ....

Well some will know Bare and I headed over to Sparwood to do some visiting

and yes it snowed has we drove over ...so beautiful....

another reason we went over is my SIL Neti had invited me over for the craft sale in Fernie.

It was fun ...meet some neat ladies from all over one lady was from Calgary...
