I enjoyed trying this fold out ...

it is called a napkin fold ....



We a couple who just celebrated their 57 anniversary

wow ...that is so neat...

this is the card I did for them ... 

again I used the napkin fold ....

Now she has told me many times to go get a machine

that I would love it ....so for Xmas

my Bare got me one ...

I tried to cut out some of the burst to make two layers ...

and some were sparkly...like fire works are ...

Seize the Birthday

Seize the Birthday Challenge #1-Feminine Birthday Sketch

and here is my try ...I have to say this was my second card ...

yes the flowers in the middle are pressed flowers

 from a summer camping trip

this was my first try at the challenge

and would of work till I put the Happy Birthday at the bottom..

again dried flowers in the middle...

the paper used in both these cards were from

a pad called Tim Coffey  by K&Company

Spellbinders to make the holders for the dried flowers..

I used a clear sheet for the layer on top of the flowers.

 

 This the flower press I used...

my Brother-In-Law had gotten this for me years ago ..

and my SIL was always encouraging me to do dried flowers on cards...

so with this challenge I gave it a try ...

I used the old fashion picture corners to age the picture ...

I did not have the hole punch tool they used

so the good old darning needle was used...

going to get a hole punch for my craft room...

so my SIL Barb ask if I wanted to join her in doing the challenge

and I jumped at the chance....this was the layout...

and here is my card ....

the paper is from a pack I bought at Memory Junction

called Viola by Memory box...

the flower is from piece in my collection of dollar stuff..

I used one of Micheal's stamps ...I need to learn how to emboss ...better.

I used my Cuttlebug to do the background .

We have been talking a while about redoing the kitchen ...

well they have started...

we got a kick out this has cabinets came down ...



do you notice ...the first color you see is what we painted when we moved in

the middle strips of orange are the original colors ...then the other owner had

done flowers ...looks like the kitchen had a few changes done before we got here..

Here is a project I worked on for the xmas season....

these were five silver sparkle branches I had bought from Rona ...thought I can make something with them ....

so here is how I group them then I put the lights through out  the branches

the finished product...wish I had taken a better picture but you get the idea.....

Now we have a new grandson this year ...Madden is his name ...he is 2 ...

so I created a advent calender for him  ...

Now has many know Dec is a heavy month for Birthday ...anniversary's 

Starting with my Bare ...and his twin Bill and then we have our grand daughter Matty then Madden and then

Candy and DJ's anniversary all of these are on the 6th of December.... 

then Dec 9 ...our grand daughter turned sweet Sixteen ...and the next day got her "L"

yes she is driving ....got the good old Learners L
and these were cards I had made for the occasions....

now this was my try at growing a flower in water and a vase ...

 

and yes it bloomed ...
Well caught up now ...time to start thinking about making cards...

So here is my card ...

the paper used is from Memorybox ...Yuletide

the stamp is Nellie Snellen...the wording misc stamp...I used my Spellbinder Oval

now you will note the red behind the spellbinder cut is my own I don't have the next size up

so I cut the shape out so the red was the background.

Then I embossed Stampendous - Shaggy White

and emboss red I colored Nellie ...hope you like...

tried to show the sparkles

this next card was just playing ...

I used Memory Box Frostyville to do the Border...paper used Winter Fun by

Carta Bella ...the snowman was a cut out ...

again the sparkles did not show that great ....darn .

Well I see there is a new posted for Mojo Monday

and i loved the layout Nina did for the

Merry Monday #42 Challenge ...might give it a try .
