Well this last week has been a very uplifting week for our daughter
Patty
She has been working on getting her Grade 12 ..
and I mean a graduated Grade 12,
ceremony and all.
Well she learned at the beginning of the week that her teachers had put her name in for
Recognition for Academic Achievement
a bursary set up by Reg McNamara
(a teacher that passed away a few years ago with cancer.....)
she knew nothing about it....till they phoned her .
She was more honored more then words can say ....that these teachers saw and watched her
and honored her enough to do this.
We are very proud of her ..she has worked hard to get here.
WAY TO GO PATTY !!!!

As we all know this the start of the Easter holidays ...it is when Jesus rose ...he died for us ..

for our sins and with His love all can be forgive and love can grow.

I was reading this and thought this is one reason are Father in Heaven

had his own Son die for us ..to be that bridge

to be that LOVE

I hope and pray you will read through the story and let it touch your heart.

God Bless you all over this holiday ....

Love Your Enemy

It is far better to forgive and forget than to resent and remember.

It was in a church in Munich that I saw him – a balding, heavyset man in a gray overcoat, a brown felt hat clutched between his hands. People were filing out of the basement room where I had just spoken, moving along the rows of wooden chairs to the door at the rear. It was 1947 and I had come from Holland to defeated Germany with the message that God forgives.
It was the truth they needed most to hear in that bitter, bombed-out land, and I gave them my favorite mental picture. Maybe, because the sea is never far from a Hollander’s mind, I liked to think that that’s where forgiven sins were thrown. “When we confess our sins,” I said, “God casts them into the deepest ocean, gone forever. And even though I cannot find a scripture for it, I believe God then places a sign out there that says, ‘NO FISHING ALLOWED’.”
The solemn faces stared back at me, not quite daring to believe. There were never questions after a talk in Germany in 1947. People stood up in silence, in silence collected their wraps, in silence left the room.
And that’s when I saw him, working his way forward against the others. One moment I show the overcoat and the brown hat; the next, a blue uniform and a visored cap with its skull and crossbones. It came back with a rush: the huge room with its harsh overhead lights; the pathetic pile of dresses and shoes in the center of the floor; the shame of walking naked past this man. I could see my sister’s frail form ahead of me, ribs sharp beneath the parchment skin. Betsie, how thin you were!
The place was Ravensbruck and the man who was making his way forward had been a guard—one of the most cruel guards.
Now he was in front of me, hand thrust out: “A fine message , Fraulein! How good it is to know that, as you say, all our sins are at the bottom of the sea!”
And I, who had spoken so glibly of forgiveness, fumbled in my pocketbook rather than take that hand. He would not remember me, of course—how could he remember one prisoner among those thousands of women?
But I remembered him and the leather crop swinging from his belt. I was face-to-face with one of my captors and my blood seemed to freeze.
“You mentioned Ravensbruck in your talk,” he was saying. “I was a guard there,” No, he did not remember me.
“But since that time,” he went on, “I have become a Christian. I know that God has forgiven me for the cruel things I did there, but I would like to hear it from your lips as well. Fraulein – again the hand came out—“will you forgive me?”
And I stood there—I whose sins had again and again needed to be forgiven – and could not forgive. Betsie had died in that place--could he erase her slow terrible death simply for the asking?
It could not have been many seconds that he stood there—hand held out—but to me it seemed hours as wrestled with the most difficult thing I had ever had to do.
For I had to do it –I knew that. The message that God forgives has a prior condition: that we forgive those who have injured us. “If you do not forgive men their trespasses,” Jesus says, “neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your trespasses.”
I knew it not only has a commandment of God. But as a daily experience. Since the end of the war I had had a home in Holland for victims of Nazi brutality. Those who were able to forgive their former enemies were able also to return to the outside world and rebuild their lives, no matter what the physical scars. Those who nursed their bitterness remained invalids. It was as simple and horrible as that.
And still I stood there with the coldness clutching my heart. But forgiveness is not an emotion—I knew that too. Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart. Jesus, help me! I prayed silently. I can lift my hand. I can do that much. You supply the feeling.
And so woodenly, mechanically, I thrust my hand into the one stretched out to me. And as I did, and incredible thing took place. The current started in my shoulder, raced down my arm and sprang into our joined hands. And then this healing warmth seemed to flood my whole being, bringing tears to my eyes.
“I forgive you, brother!” I cried. “With all my heart.”
For a long moment we grasped each other’s hands—the former guard and the former prisoner. I had never known God’s love so intensely as I did then. But even so, I realized it was not my love. I had tried, and did not have the power. It was the power of the Holy Spirit as recorded in Romans 5:5 “….because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us”

Want to wish Tanya a
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY
have a great day and make sure those boys spoil you rotten
XOXOXOXO
Barb these are the flowers I picked up on the weekend ....
hope you like the layout I did for them ...

my SIL Barb had this scripture and it was so in line for me :

Resentment is racing your emotional motor...
it wastes valuable energy and gets you nowhere.
"See to it that no one misses the grace
of God and no bitter root grows up
to cause trouble and defile many."
Hebrews 12:15 NIV

I want to thank Shari for sharing this with me ...
she and others have been helping to face a few dark corners ...

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and
always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side
of the situation.Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up
and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time.
How do you do it?" He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you
have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood......I choose to be in a good mood."Each time something bad happens,
I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.
"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.
"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation
is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.
You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."
I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it. Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was
released from the hospital with rods placed in his back. I saw him about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins...wanna see my scars?". I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place."The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of
my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."
"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.
He continued, "..the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors
and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action." "What did you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,"said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'"
Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."
He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.
Attitude, after all, is everything.
After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

You have two choices now:

I have been reading these last few days ...a sad feeling of

loss and feeling of what is yet to come...

as we prapare to move and start off on another adventure....

here are a few things that has stood out to me ...
_____

Life presents enough challenges without us adding
more burdens to our load. We can flip the switch on
guilt, worry and resentment once we become aware
of them. To prevent those downward spirals, make the
choice to eliminate the energy vampires. Your life will
become lighter and more positive.
If you struggle with perfectionism, challenge it every
day by being less than perfect. Uncover any unfulfilled
need from childhood that drives it, and fill that need
using the awareness you have as an adult today.
The path of forgiveness is the best way to travel
unburdened. Often it is the only way to unchain yourself
from the past. Give yourself the gift of forgiveness
So you can be free to live the life you really want.

________

To forgive the unforgivable is the highest form
of love. In return you will be blessed
with peace and compassion.

_________

Get over the disease to please.
Understand you cannot please everyone.
Being able to disappoint others is crucial
to reclaiming your life.

_______

The longest journey is the journey inward.

________

Everything you want is on the other side of Fear.

_________

and this one of the Irish Prayer is for all I love

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always be at your back
May the sun shine warm on your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again....
May God hold you safely in
the palm of His hand....

Well for all that read my blog ..the water is running again ...Barry got it going HURRAY
A Moment for You
Be good to
yourself
Life is so busy,
it's probably been
a while since you
asked, "What makes me happy?"

But you're
important, too!
So today and everyday
do something
that makes you smile.
You deserve it!

Well today Glen and Patty brought the girls and came up for lunch ..it was great to have them...

Oh Father, everything around me seems to be changing--
my body, my family, my world. How grateful I am that you, Lord, never change.
Therefore, regardless of the changes that occur in mylife,
I know I can trust you to keep on taking care of me just as you have in the past I thank
You that You will generously provide all that I need.

You will make all grace abound to me.

Then I will have plenty for myself as well as for others.

In Jesus' name, amen

In the last few days I have been total of 2 friends having cancer...
both are a case of cancer returning ....
yesterday I was luck to be able to spend the day with one of them
Rose ...she has a positive attitude ....she has the Lord in her life ...

My other friend Miriam ..has been a friend since grade 7 and
I believe the Lord is going to bless her .....
so if in reading this could you please add a little prayer for each of them .....

Friendship is a precious gift,

that cannot be bought or sold.

but it's value is far greater,

than a mountain made of gold.

For gold is cold and lifeless,

It can neither see nor hear,

and in the time of trouble,

it is powerless to cheer.

It has no ears to listen,

no heart to understand.

It cannot bring you comfort,

or reach out a helping hand.

So when you ask God for a gift,

be thankful if he sends,

Not diamonds, pearls or riches

But the love of real true Friends.....

~ Author Unknown

Ephesians 4:26-27
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander
along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another
forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
