Well here we are in to the second day of school for some ...Our Granddaughter Melissa had her first full day of school today(Grade 5)...yesterday she recieved a pre recorded message from Hiliary Duff..and then this morning Hiliary Duff phoned again to wake up our sleepy head. Melissa was so excited. It was also the very first day for our grandaughter Jordana to school (kindergarten). We phoned to see how she liked it and she did. She lives in Fairview, Alberta. So we don't get to see them that much. One day soon we hope to be able to spend more time with them..before they are all grown up. Girls we love you dearly. Have a great year in school.

I have been trying to think about how I could say how important family is ..this may talk about friends ..but I also think this could be helpful with family to.

Well our sister-in-law Neti is a great cook and baker...she spoiled me crazy these last four days ...but she even went all out for me ...before she arrived. She made me her Cinnamom buns ..complete with icing ....oh boy ...what a treat. And she even baked her homemade buns. I want to THANK YOU so much Neti ...thanks for the baking but most of all for the love that goes with doing these treats for us all. We love you girl.

Aug 26 to Aug 30 --2006


Together again fishing the South Thompson River. Dave and Neti came back down to do some salmon fishing and camping. We had four great days...of fun and camp fires.

We meet people from Europe that had brought this neat camper truck alltrain vehicle.
They had been to Africa and on a safari ..the windows had bars over them so that the animals could not get in. Nice people..they thought our province was beautiful so much to see and do.

We did do a night in town a dinner and then the casino..Barry was the luck one. We all had fun my mom came along with us. We can't wait to meet again with David and Neti..we love them dearly. Thanks for the good time and great memories.
(Oh yes to date the biggest salmon caught was 28 pounds. They also catch them off the Pritchard Bridge ...is neat to watch them and how they do it.)

Well this story needs to be told our granddaughter Melissa has been afraid to ride a two wheeler. Papa has tried to helper ..her Aunts..WELL Melissa taught herself ..she has been going to a friends and learning. She was at her friends Mikeala when she phoned and asked if we could pick her up ..I sent Papa and she surprised him. He was so proud ...she is an awesome little girl..we love her dearly

Well the grandkids came out to visit the Aug 19th ..they loved the sandy beaches and the warm river water.



The next day Glen and Patty took their boat and head to the Shuswap lake to tube ...we watched Hannah and the rest had fun



We have been blessed with some awesome weather out here. And so many good memories.Barry and I are so blessed with family and friends. Thanks guys

Well a time away from Kamloops...camped out at Pritchard where the salmon have startd to run..and cooler than Kamloops ...and the beach so sandy.
David and Neti had came to visit Aug 14 and stay for a couple of days fun and more fun. These kids that are jumping from the Pritchard Bridge are a great bunch of kids.
The jump will be about 50 feet maybe more. The camping is total free.

So Alison and I finally got to meet, she had been on holiday's in Prince George ...when she said can I stop by. She arrived wih her two children two days after the wedding and into a home that was so busy trying to get our home ready for it to be put on the market. But what a friend and team player she pitched right in and was a big help. Barry had started to fix a wall and need it sanded and primed and there she was ...I had to work so she jumped right in..like she was family.



Daniel and Sarah Alison kids) are really great kids...Melissa enjoyed having a new friend for the summer. The next day we were moving stuff into storage and had a house full for dinner and their was Alison again..cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for all. And to all that were here THANK YOU so much, friends and family.

While Alison was here she took an awesome pciture of Abi..I wanted to share it with all of you...Alison is awesome at taking pictures. Barb and I and Alison can't wait to all get together this fall. And have a girls day.

Well hi to all ...well new carpets are in ...three room painted ....house in a mess but we are getting there. Alison comes to visit next week ....we have chatted online for some time and this will be our first time meeting each other. Can't wait!!!

Well we made it thru our first yard sale.....it was not to bad. Even with the temperatures soaring to the 39 and 41 mark. But we will have to have another one. I have so much stuff. Hopefully the weather will cool down for the next yard sale. Any one out there know anyone who collects pink flamingo tell them to come on the my blog and leave a message ...I will get back to them....have lots of the flamingo stuff.

I want to thank my daughters for all their help and for doing the yard sale for me.
I appreciate it more than words can say.

Well I want to Thank You all for your prayers ...the house will soon be on the market ...one more room to paint and the three bedrooms carpeted. So please pray it sells fast.

Well guys the newest news I have this night is we are going to put our house up for sale. And live in our fifth wheel and do some traveling. There is family we long to see and never have time or esle it is a short time. I will be able to retire for the summer and go when barry is on his days off....he works 4 day on and 4 off so it will give us lots of time to travel around (cause when he gets time off he has 12 days off in a row) something my job did not do. So this will be awesome ...our time. So if you could keep us in your prayers ..that the house sales fast... and we get things set up for the start of school for Missy(our granddaughter that lives with us). She is sad she has lived here her whole life so there are some tears. But the time is right and the family stands behind us ...and with their love we can do this. AND YOUR PRAYERS.

Hello to all ....well we had a great and wonderful time with Barb and Miles . They stop on their way to their wonderful holiday they take every summer . We did up smokies and marshmallows...and smores.....oh Miles liked those smores. It was relaxing and a nice time. Barb and I got some time on the computer ...she is so talented. They did a beautiful landscape picture of Oosyoos area ..it is so beautiful...it will go into our fifth wheel. Well Sharley's stag ....I heard was awesome. I was able to go for the snack time...and get some pictures. They took her out on the town ...she is getting married July 29th in Vernon...to my nephew Bobby. The girls in the pictures top left Sharley and Patty(maid of Honor)also my daughter. Next to that picture is Bob's mom Ann (my sister) Sharley and Patty. Middle Samantha (bob's cousin) and Ann. Next to that Samantha, Patty, Sharley, Ann and Candy(bob's cousin). The girls made a costume for Sharley to wear out and about. She was a hit ...where ever she went. Way to go Sharley ...always remember Marriage is a new step and a wonderful step. Well we got away the 5 and 6th of July ...then Barry got called to work so I decide I would camp close to his work. So we decided on Tunkwa Lake, by Logan lake. Well me and the girls relaxed all day long. Waded in the water ..and walked down to the waterfall that flows from Tunkwa into Leighton Lake.The girl decide to wade into the falls and found a perfect pool to sit and splash in. Some of the hair little guys at the lake watching go on our walk. And the big rescue of the girls and their raft. Then in the evenings Barry join us for a relaxing time on the lake.

The July long weekend ...Barry brother Bill and his wife Maggie came for a visit. With them they brought their granddaughter Sienna. Well what a cutey. Has you can see ...she loved our piano. My grandaughters got to play and spend time with her. She is the world to grandma Maggie. Sienna has been thru alot for a child of 1 and 1/2 years old. But she is a going girl. Thanks for sharing her with us Grandpa Bill and Gramdma Maggie.

Our Melissa girl....today was the last day of school for most kids in this area....so it was the day that our school recognizes the student and their achievements. Our Granddaughter received an award for her citizenship. This award was given to 8 students in our school it is for being a friend, a helper ...a good person to all...not that all the kids aren't like that ..but these kids went out of their way to help others ...not because they were told to or ask ..just because that's the kind of kid's they are. We are so very proud of her.
And to finish the day off she has been assigned to Grade 5 ----awesome report card.

WAY TO GO GIRL----HAVE GREAT SUMMER
(tonight she is having slumber party )

Our meet at Lake Enid ...6 great and wonderful days with Dave and Neti ( two people we love very much ). We have met here for the last 4 years at least. And what a beautiful place ..you can see God's wonderful work ...as you look around at the beauty.

This year our start to the trip was really different ..for starters a tire blew up just has we got to Revelstoke ..neat part was God was there ..it blew has we were stopping to have supper ...not going fast down the highway. We went into AW and the lady there was so helpful..she give us the number of a tire store and let us use the phone. The next touch of were God helped out ..was this happen around 5:00 oclock on a Tuesday night ...the fellow at the tire store was just closing up ..but came any ways ....he change tires around on the truck with his tools and put on the new set of tires ...and only charge $50.00 for all of that. So we were able to continue on our way. We had driven about 2 hours ..when are granddaughter said I have to go ( well you know where)..so Papa pulled over and pulled the stairs down on the 5wheel and she went...they than decides they want to take a bit of a walk ...but Melissa step in to some dog stuff..so back into the trailer to get some paper towel. He got the shoes all cleaned up. And we started back on our journey to meet Uncle Dave and Auntie Neti. Has it was starting to get dark in the distance you could see that there as a storm coming ..the lightning was awesome. We were about 20 minutes from the lake when we heard a crushing sound ...Barry was not sure so we kept going. Well we finally got to Lake Enid ...it was dark but we found where Dave and Neti had put their camper and we then parked beside them. I got out to go and set up the stairs to the 5th wheel when to my surprise they were already down ..and guess what we were missing our bottom step.Now we knew what the crushing noise was ..our stair being ripped off. Again we were blessed ..it had not hurt or damaged anything other then are stair. The next morning the boys went looking and found the stair right away...got some screws and fixed it right up. So we decide to set up and get ready for the holiday and fishing and time with family. We were got a spot right on the water....it was beautiful. So we set up......Barry set up the satellite(hockey game was going to be on the next night). and camp was set up ...we were all ready to go fishing . So I ask Barry to pull the truck around so I could use my air compressor to blow up my belly boat. He said sure no problem....he jumped into the truck and drove over the satellite dish. The one he had just set up. But blessed again ...it still worked. Our three what can go wrong happen and were dealt with and there was a peace about it. Things could of been worse ...but we were all their, about to share good times , campfires and lots of love.
OH YES....and to let everyone know that Barry won the fishing derby....first fish, biggest fish, and the most fish ...could of cost all of us lots of money ...but he just said he wanted to be able to tell everyone..so I told himI would put it up on my blog...Barry was THE FISHERMAN this year at Lake Enid ...with Neti came in close with lots of fish to.( as you see in the top picture bro Dave sleeps away in the boat).

Well I hope you enjoy our adventure ..we did thru all that happen...we were blessed.

Our Granddaughter Abi.....her dad Glen has been in the Mica Dam area Heli logging....he had taken the family trailer up there to stay in while on the job. So this past week Patti and the kids decide to go and visit DAD. And stay in the trailer..camping is so much fun and great for the kids. Well Abi loves it ..and so Dad showed her a fishing rod and the lake and she loved the idea of catching a fish.

The beach Patti says was sandy and the water so clean ...nice little place to camp and swim....if you have little ones. Papa and I can't wait to take her out and let her fish from the boat. Patty did not get any pictures of her and Hannah to share with you all. Just Dad and Abi.

Hi and God Bless to all ...we have just returned from a holiday with my husband's brother and wife ....it was the greatest. We have meet at Lake Enid the last few years. It is located by Invermere...beautiful country. I will be posting some pictures has soon has I have gone thru them and picked the good ones.

Good day to all ....This is Melissa (our granddaughter) she is nine years old and in grade 4 . This year she went all out in track and field. In her school track meet she tried out in the 100 m - 200m - Long jump- High Jump - Shot put. It was great that she tried out . But in high Jump she recieved the gold ribbon ..and we are so proud of her. Way to go girl!!!!
She got the chance to go to the Zone Track Meet for our area..for High Jump. She did not recieve any ribbons there but we are proud that she went out and had fun and meet lots of other kids. We have to try to always tell her that trying out and having fun is just has important has placing first or second. (Winning is not everything)

This was awesome time for me ...a sad time for my son's friend (his mother passed away she had been fighting cancer for the last two years. She as gone home to be with the Lord ...my son came down for the funeral. But the upside is I was off for three days and got to hung out with my granddaughters...how they have grown

good morning to all ....sorry I am so far behind

so let's catch up....hope all of you had a great and wonderful May
I was blessed many ways in May. Let's start with the wonderful time
My husband and I had in 100 MILE HOUSE, B.C.
Barry was called out again to go work at the OSB plant there
and I went for the camping trip and the time to ourselves.


Barry parked the trailer on a beautiful lake that is about 20 minute pass the OSB plant. Valentine Lake
it was beautiful there...peaceful and quiet. Just what the good Lord called for ....time for us. ( and the fishing was great.) If you ever want to get a way ...yet close enough to a town ...this is a nice spot.
